Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 440
It is narrated on the authority of our leader Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Man has no right to anything beyond a shelter, a piece of dry bread, clothing to cover his nakedness, and water."

سیدنا عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”گھر کے سائے، خشک روٹی کے ٹکڑے، شرمگاہ کو چھپانے کی بقدر کپڑے اور پانی کے علاوہ جتنی بھی چیزیں ہیں ان میں سے کسی ایک میں بھی انسان کا استحقاق نہیں ہے۔“
Sayyida Usman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Ghar ke saaye, khushk roti ke tukde, sharmgah ko chhupane ki baqadr kapde aur pani ke ilawa jitni bhi cheezen hain in mein se kisi ek mein bhi insan ka isthihaaq nahin hai.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُرَيْثُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ ، يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي حُمْرَانُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" كُلُّ شَيْءٍ سِوَى ظِلِّ بَيْتٍ، وَجِلْفِ الْخُبْزِ، وَثَوْبٍ يُوَارِي عَوْرَتَهُ، وَالْمَاءِ، فَمَا فَضَلَ عَنْ هَذَا فَلَيْسَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ فِيهِ حَقٌّ".
