Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4497

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that lizard meat was presented before the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) neither ate it, nor did he declare it forbidden.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے سامنے گوہ کو پیش کیا گیا ہے، لیکن نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے تناول فرمایا اور نہ ہی حرام قرار دیا۔

Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke samne gaaye ko pesh kiya gaya hai, lekin Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use tanaavul farmaya aur na hi haram karar diya.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ:" قَدْ أُتِيَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي: الضَّبَّ، فَلَمْ يَأْكُلْهُ، وَلَمْ يُحَرِّمْهُ".
