Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4521
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) gave a horse to a person for the sake of Allah. Later, he saw that the horse was being sold in the market. He thought of buying it back, so he consulted the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Do not take back your charity."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فی سبیل اللہ کسی شخص کو سواری کے لئے گھوڑا دے دیا بعد میں دیکھا کہ وہ گھوڑا بازار میں بک رہا ہے انہوں نے سوچا کہ اسے خرید لیتا ہوں، چنانچہ انہوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے مشورہ کیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ اپنے صدقے سے رجوع مت کرو۔
Saina Ibne Umar Razi Allahu Anhuma se marvi hai ki ek martaba Saina Umar Razi Allahu Anhu ne fi sabilillah kisi shakhs ko sawari ke liye ghora de diya baad mein dekha ki woh ghora bazaar mein bik raha hai unhon ne socha ki use kharid leta hun, chunanche unhon ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se mashwara kiya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki apne sadqe se rujoo mat karo.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، فَوَجَدَهَا تُبَاعُ، فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ شِرَائِهَا؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم:" لَا تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ".
