Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4620
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to pray voluntary prayers and the Witr prayer while riding, and he would attribute this practice to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

نافع رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سواری پر نفل نماز اور وتر پڑھ لیا کرتے تھے اور اس کی نسبت نبی کریم ﷺ کی طرف فرماتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ" يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ، وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا، وَيَذْكُرُ ذَلِكَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".
