Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4668
It is narrated on the authority of our leader Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “It is obligatory upon a person to listen to his ruler and obey him, whether he likes it or not, as long as he is not commanded with disobedience. So, if he is commanded to disobey, then there is no obedience to any person in such matters.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”انسان پر اپنے امیر کی بات سننا اور اس کی اطاعت کرنا ضروری ہے خواہ اسے اچھا لگے یا برا بشرطیکہ اسے کسی معصیت کا حکم نہ دیا جائے، اس لئے کہ اگر اسے معصیت کا حکم دیا جائے تو اس وقت کسی کی بات سننے اور اس کی اطاعت کر نے کی اجازت نہیں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Insaan par apne ameer ki baat sunna aur uski itaat karna zaruri hai chahe use achha lage ya bura basharte ke use kisi maasiyat ka hukm na diya jaye, is liye ke agar use maasiyat ka hukm diya jaye to us waqt kisi ki baat sunne aur uski itaat karne ki ijazat nahin.“
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" السَّمْعُ وَالطَّاعَةُ عَلَى الْمَرْءِ فِيمَا أَحَبَّ أَوْ كَرِهَ، إِلَّا أَنْ يُؤْمَرَ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ فَإِنْ أُمِرَ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ فَلَا سَمْعَ وَلَا طَاعَةَ".
