Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4675
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) not offering nafl prayers (sunnah prayers are meant here) during a journey, neither before nor after the fard prayers.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کو دیکھا ہے کہ آپ ﷺ سفر میں فرائض سے پہلے یا بعد میں نماز نہیں پڑھتے تھے (سنتیں مراد ہیں)۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dekha hai ki aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) safar mein faraiz se pehle ya baad mein namaz nahi parhte the (sunaten murad hain).
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سُرَاقَةَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" لَا يُصَلِّي فِي السَّفَرِ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا بَعْدَهَا".
