Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4681
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would sometimes offer prayer with his spear stuck in the ground as a sutrah.
