Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4760
Dawood bin Abi Asim Thaqafi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: I asked Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, about prayer in Mina. He said: "Did you hear the name of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" I said: "Yes! I believed in him and came to the straight path." Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, said: "Then he (the Prophet) used to pray two rak'ahs in Mina."

داؤد بن ابی عاصم ثقفی رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے منٰی میں نماز کے متعلق پوچھا: تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ کیا تم نے نبی کریم ﷺ کا نام سنا ہے؟ میں نے کہا، جی ہاں! میں ان پر ایمان لا کر راہ راست پر بھی آیا ہوں، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا: پھر وہ منیٰ میں دو رکعتیں پڑھتے تھے۔
Dawood bin Abi Asim Saqafi rehmatullah alaih kahte hain ki maine Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se mani mein namaz ke mutalliq poocha: to unhon ne farmaya ki kya tum ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka naam suna hai? حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَر عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بِمِنًى؟ فَقَالَ: هَلْ سَمِعْتَ بِمُحَمَّد صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، وَآمَنْتُ، فاهتديت به، قَالَ: فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ" يُصَلِّي بِمِنًى رَكْعَتَيْنِ".
