Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4809
It was narrated from Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade (the use of) “Hantam”. Someone asked, “What is it?” He said: “It is a jar in which Nabidh (or wine) is prepared.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے «حنتمه» سے منع فرمایا ہے کسی نے پوچھا: وہ کیا چیز ہے؟ فرمایا: وہ مٹکا جو نبیذ (یا شراب کشید کرنے کے لئے) استعمال ہوتا ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne «Hantamah» se mana farmaya hai kisi ne poocha: woh kya cheez hai? Farmaya: woh matka jo nabidh (ya sharaab kashid karne ke liye) istemaal hota hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ:" نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْحَنْتَمَةِ، قِيلَ: وَمَا الْحَنْتَمَةِ؟ قَال: الْجَرَّةُ، يَعْنِي: النَّبِيذَ.
