Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4906
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no validity of 'Umra and Ruqba (giving a house or land to someone until their death)" and he said: "The one for whom 'Umra Ruqba is done, it belongs to him, both in life and after death."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”عمریٰ اور رقبٰی (کسی کی موت تک کوئی مکان یا زمین دینے) کی کوئی حیثیت نہیں ہے“ اور فرمایا: ”جس کے لئے عمریٰ رقبیٰ کیا گیا وہ اسی کا ہے، زندگی میں بھی اور مرنے کے بعد بھی۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Umra aur raqba (kisi ki mout tak koi makan ya zameen dene) ki koi haisiyat nahi hai” aur farmaya: “Jis ke liye umra raqba kiya gaya wo usi ka hai, zindagi mein bhi aur marne ke baad bhi.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَا عُمْرَى، وَلَا رُقْبَى، فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا، أَوْ أُرْقِبَهُ، فَهُوَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ".
