Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4919
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver two sermons on Friday and would sit for a short while between the two.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جمعہ کے دن دو خطبے دیتے تھے اور دونوں کے درمیاں ذرا سا وقفہ کر کے بیٹھ جاتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، بَيْنَهُمَا جَلْسَةٌ".
