Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4981
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that a month is of 29 days.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کو یہ ارشاد فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ مہینہ ٢٩ کا ہوتا ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye irshad farmate hue suna hai ki mahina 29 ka hota hai.
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ، سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ يُخْبِرُ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ".
