Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4995
It is narrated on the authority of Sa'eed ibn al-Musayyib, may Allah have mercy on him, that he said, "I heard Abdullah ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, say near this pulpit of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that once a delegation of Banu Abdul Qais came with their chief. They asked the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, about drinks. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade them from Hantam, Dubba' and Naqir."

سعید بن مسیب رحمہ اللہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے اس منبر رسول ﷺ کے قریب سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ بنو عبدالقیس کا وفد اپنے سردار کے ساتھ آیا، ان لوگوں نے نبی ﷺ سے مشروبات کے متعلق پوچھا، نبی ﷺ نے انہیں حنتم، دباء، اور نقیر سے منع فرمایا۔
Saeed bin Musayyab rehmatullah alaih se marvi hai keh maine is mimbar Rasul (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke qareeb Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ko yeh kehte huye suna hai keh ek martaba Banu Abdul Qais ka wafd apne sardar ke sath aaya, in logon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se mashrobat ke mutalliq poocha, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen Hantam, Dubba, aur Naqir se mana farmaya.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْخَالِقِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ، سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُدُمَ وَفْدِ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ مَعَ الْأَشَجِّ، فَسَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْأَشْرِبَةِ؟" فَنَهَاهُمْ عَنِ الْحَنْتَمِ، وَالدُّبَّاءِ، وَالنَّقِيرِ".
