Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5018
Saeed bin Jubair said that once Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was passing through a street of Madinah, he saw that some young men had tied a live chicken and were aiming at it. Upon this, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) became angry and said, "Who is doing this?" At the same time, all the young men moved right and left. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cursed the person who makes a living being a target.

سعید بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ مدینہ کے کسی راستے پر سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کا گزر ہوا، دیکھا کہ کچھ نوجوانوں نے ایک زندہ مرغی کو باندھ رکھا ہے اور اس پر نشانہ درست کر رہے ہیں، اس پر سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما غصے میں آ گئے اور فرمانے لگے، یہ کون کر رہا ہے؟ اسی وقت سارے نوجوان دائیں بائیں ہو گئے، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اس شخص پر لعنت فرمائی ہے، جو جانور کا مثلہ کرے۔
Saeed bin Jubair kehte hain ki ek martaba Madina ke kisi raste par Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ka guzar hua, dekha ki kuch naujawanon ne ek zinda murgi ko bandh rakha hai aur is par nishana durust kar rahe hain, is par Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ghusse mein aa gaye aur farmane lage, yeh kaun kar raha hai? Isi waqt sare naujawan dayen baayen ho gaye, Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is shakhs par laanat farmai hai, jo jaanwar ka misl karay.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ: مَرَرْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ في طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ، فَإِذَا فِتْيَةٌ قَدْ نَصَبُوا دَجَاجَةً يَرْمُونَهَا، لَهُمْ كُلُّ خَاطِئَةٍ، قَالَ: فَغَضِبَ، وَقَالَ: مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا؟ قَالَ: فَتَفَرَّقُوا، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ :" لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ يُمَثِّلُ بِالْحَيَوَانِ".
