Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5089
In the gathering of Sayyiduna Salim (may Allah have mercy on him), a man was narrating this Hadith: "Once, bread and meat were presented before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'Give me a foreleg.' A foreleg was given to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), which he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) consumed. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'Give me another foreleg.' That too was given to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) consumed that as well, and said, 'Give me another foreleg.' Someone submitted, 'O Messenger of Allah! There are only two forelegs in a goat.' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'By the oath of your father! If you had remained silent, I would have continued to receive a foreleg as long as I continued to ask you for it.'" Upon hearing this Hadith, Sayyiduna Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) said, "This is absolutely not true because I heard Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'Allah Almighty prohibits you from swearing by the names of your forefathers.'"

سیدنا سالم رحمہ اللہ کی مجلس میں ایک شخص یہ حدیث بیان کر رہا تھا کہ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں ایک مرتبہ روٹی اور گوشت کھانے میں پیش کیا گیا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”مجھے ایک دستی دینا“، نبی ﷺ کو دستی دے دی گئی، جو آپ ﷺ نے تناول فرما لی اس کے بعد فرمایا: ”مجھے ایک اور دستی دو“، وہ بھی نبی ﷺ کو دے دی گئی اور نبی ﷺ نے اسے بھی تناول فرما لیا اور فرمایا کہ مجھے ایک اور دستی دو، کسی نے عرض کیا، یا رسول اللہ!! ایک بکر ی میں دو ہی دستیاں ہوتی ہیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تیرے باپ کی قسم! اگر تو خاموش رہتا تو میں جب تک تم سے دستی مانگتا رہتا مجھے ملتی رہتی“، سیدنا سالم رحمہ اللہ نے یہ حدیث سن کر فرمایا: ”یہ بات تو بالکل نہیں ہے کیونکہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ تمہیں اپنے آباؤ اجداد کے نام کی قسمیں کھانے سے روکتا ہے۔
Sayyidna Salim rehmatullah alaih ki majlis mein ek shakhs yeh hadees bayaan kar raha tha ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein ek martaba roti aur gosht khane mein pesh kiya gaya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Mujhe ek dasti dena", Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dasti de di gai, jo Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne tanavil farma li uske baad farmaya: "Mujhe ek aur dasti do", woh bhi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko de di gai aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use bhi tanavil farma liya aur farmaya ke mujhe ek aur dasti do, kisi ne arz kiya, Ya Rasulullah!! Ek bakri mein do hi dastiyaan hoti hain, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Tere baap ki qasam! Agar tu khamosh rehta to mein jab tak tumse dasti mangta rehta mujhe milti rehti", Sayyidna Salim rehmatullah alaih ne yeh hadees sun kar farmaya: "Yeh baat to bilkul nahin hai kyunki maine Sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ko farmate hue suna hai ke Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Allah ta'ala tumhein apne abao ajdad ke naam ki qasmein khane se rokta hai.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ فِي مَجْلِسِ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي فُلَانٌ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ مِنْ خُبْزٍ وَلَحْمٍ، فَقَالَ:" نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ" فَنُووِلَ ذِرَاعًا، فَأَكَلَهَا، قَالَ يَحْيَى: لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا هَكَذَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ" فَنُووِلَ ذِرَاعًا، فَأَكَلَهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ" نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ"، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّمَا هُمَا ذِرَاعَانِ، فَقَالَ:" وَأَبِيكَ لَوْ سَكَتَّ مَا زِلْتُ أُنَاوَلُ مِنْهَا ذِرَاعًا مَا دَعَوْتُ بِهِ". (حديث موقوف) فَقَالَ فَقَالَ سَالِمٌ : أَمَّا هَذِهِ فَلَا، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ".
