Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5138
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered (us) to trim the mustache very well and to grow the beard abundantly.
Grade: Sahih
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے مونچھیں خوب اچھی طرح کتروانے اور ڈاڑھی خوب بڑھانے کا حکم دیا ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne moochen khoob achhi tarah kutarwane aur darhi khoob barhane ka hukum diya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ:" أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُعْفَى اللِّحَى، وَأَنْ تُجَزَّ الشَّوَارِبُ".
