Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5150
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever sets free a slave who is jointly owned, setting free his share, then the slave will become completely free if the one freeing him has enough wealth to cover the price of the other share. And if he does not possess such an amount, then it is upon him to complete his freedom."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص کسی غلام کو اپنے حصے کے بقدر آزاد کر دیتا ہے، تو وہ غلام مکمل آزاد ہو جائے گا، پھر اگر آزاد کر نے والے کے پاس اتنا مال ہے جو اس کی قیمت کو پہنچتا ہے تو اس کے ذمے ہے کہ اسے مکمل آزاد کر دے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Jo shakhs kisi gulam ko apne hisse ke baqdar azad kar deta hai, to wo gulam mukammal azad ho jayega, phir agar azad karne wale ke pass itna mal hai jo us ki qeemat ko pahunchta hai to us ke zimme hai ki use mukammal azad kar de.“
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ كُلُّهُ، فَإِنْ كَانَ لِلَّذِي أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ، فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ".
