Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5181
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arranged a horse race. He appointed the restless ones to race from Hafya to Thaniyatul Wida and those that were not as restless to race from Thaniyatul Wida to Masjid Bani Zuraiq.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے گھڑ دوڑ کا مقابلہ کروا یا، ان میں سے جو گھوڑے چھریرے تھے انہیں حفیاء سے ثنیۃ الوداع تک مسابقت کے لئے مقرر فرمایا اور جو چھریرے بدن کے نہ تھے، ان کی ریس ثنیۃ الوداع سے مسجد بنی زریق تک کروائی۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ghor daud ka muqabla karwaya, in mein se jo ghore chherey thay unhein Hafya se Saniyatulwida tak muqablay ke liye muqarrar farmaya aur jo chherey badan ke na thay, un ki race Saniyatulwida se Masjid Bani Zareeq tak karwai.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" سَبَّقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الْمُضَمَّرَةِ مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، وَمَا لَمْ يُضَمَّرْ مِنْهَا مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ".
