Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5182
It is narrated by Ibn Umar (R.A.) that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "The month is of 29 days." When the people told this to Aisha (R.A.), she said: "May Allah have mercy on Abu Abdur Rahman (Prophet Muhammad PBUH), he must have forgotten. Actually, the Prophet (PBUH) had abandoned (intimacy with) his pure wives for a month. When it was the 29th day, the Prophet (PBUH) came down from his upper room. The people said: 'O Messenger of Allah! You have come down on the 29th day?' The Prophet (PBUH) said: 'Sometimes the month is also of 29 days.'"

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”مہینہ ٢٩ دن کا ہوتا ہے“، لوگوں نے یہ بات سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کو بتائی تو انہوں نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ ابوعبدالرحمن پر رحم فرمائے، انہیں وہم ہو گیا ہے، دراصل نبی ﷺ نے ایک مہینے کے لئے اپنی ازاواج مطہرات کو چھوڑ دیا تھا، ٢٩ دن ہونے پر نبی ﷺ اپنے بالاخانے سے نیچے آ گئے، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! آپ تو ٢٩ ویں دن ہی نیچے آ گئے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”بعض اوقات مہینہ ٢٩ دن کا بھی ہوتا ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Mahina 29 din ka hota hai”, logon ne yeh baat Sayyida Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ko batai to unhon ne farmaya: “Allah Ta’ala Abu Abdur Rahman par rahem farmaye, unhen veham ho gaya hai, darasal Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek mahine ke liye apni azwaj mut'eh'haar'aat ko chhor diya tha, 29 din hone par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apne balakhaan'e se neeche aa gaye, logon ne arz kiya: Ya Rasulullah! Aap to 29vein din hi neeche aa gaye, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Baaz auqaat mahina 29 din ka bhi hota hai.”
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ" فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِعَائِشَةَ ، فَقَالَتْ: يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَهَلْ، هَجَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِسَاءَهُ شَهْرًا، فَنَزَلَ لِتِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ:" إِنَّ الشَّهْرَ قَدْ يَكُونُ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ".
