Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5222
Sa'd ibn 'Ubaidah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was sitting in a gathering with Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father). Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) heard a man in another gathering swearing by saying "La wa abi" (No, by my father). So he threw pebbles at him and said: "Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to swear in this way, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade him from it, saying that it is shirk (polytheism)."
سعد بن عبیدہ رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں ایک حلقہ میں سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ بیٹھا ہوا تھا، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے دوسرے حلقے میں بیٹھے ہوئے ایک آدمی کو «لا وابي» کہہ کر قسم کھاتے ہوئے سنا، تو اسے کنکر یاں ماریں اور فرمایا: سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ اسی طرح قسم کھاتے تھے لیکن نبی ﷺ نے انہیں اس سے منع کرتے ہوئے فرمایا کہ یہ شرک ہے۔
Sad bin Ubaida rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke mein ek halqay mein Sayyiduna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ke sath betha hua tha, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ne dusre halqay mein baithe huye ek aadmi ko «la wabi» keh kar qasam khate huye suna, to usay kankar maarein aur farmaya: Sayyiduna Umar razi Allah anhu isi tarah qasam khate thay lekin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhein is se mana karte huye farmaya ke yeh shirk hai.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فِي حَلْقَةٍ، فَسَمِعَ رَجُلًا فِي حَلْقَةٍ أُخْرَى، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: لَا وَأبي، فرماه ابن عمر بالحصى، وَقَالَ: إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ يَمِينَ عُمَرَ، فَنَهَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْهَا، وَقَالَ:" إِنَّهَا شِرْكٌ".
