Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5255

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about lizard meat, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I do not eat it, nor do I declare it forbidden."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ سے گوہ کے متعلق پوچھا گیا، تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”میں اسے کھاتا ہوں اور نہ ہی حرام قرار دیتا ہوں۔“

Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se goh ke mutalliq poochha gaya, to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “main ise khata hun aur na hi haram karar deta hun.”

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، وَالْعُمَرِيُّ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الضَّبِّ، فَقَالَ:" لَا آكُلُهُ وَلَا أُحَرِّمُهُ".
