Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5342
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by the Thamud people, he said, "Enter upon these punished nations weeping. If you cannot weep, then do not enter upon them." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) then covered his face with his shawl, and he was riding at the time.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب قوم ثمود پر سے گزرے تو آپ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا:”ان معذب اقوام پر روتے ہوئے داخل ہوا کرو، اگر تمہیں رونا نہ آتا ہو تو وہاں نہ جایا کرو، یہ کہہ کر نبی ﷺ نے اپنے منہ پر چادر ڈھانپ لی اور اس وقت نبی ﷺ سواری پر سوار تھے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab qaum samood par se guzre to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”In muazzab aqwaam par rote huye daakhil hua karo, agar tumhein rona na aata ho to wahan na jaya karo, yeh keh kar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne munh par chadar dhaanp li aur us waqt Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sawari par sawar the.”
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا مَرَّ بِالْحِجْرِ قَالَ:" لَا تَدْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا، إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ، أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ"، وَتَقَنَّعَ بِرِدَائِهِ وَهُوَ عَلَى الرَّحْلِ.
