Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5354
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he was sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) seeking forgiveness a hundred times, then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “O Allah, forgive me and have mercy on me and accept my repentance. Indeed, You are the Oft-Returning, the Most Merciful, or You are the most forgiving."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نبی ﷺ کے پاس بیٹھا ہوا تھا، میں نے نبی ﷺ کو سو مرتبہ استغفار کرتے ہوئے سنا، پھر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: «اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ أَوْ إِنَّكَ تَوَّابٌ غَفُورٌ» ”اے اللہ مجھے معاف فرما، مجھ پر رحم فرما، مجھ پر توجہ فرما، بیشک تو نہایت توبہ قبول کرنے والا نہایت مہربان ہے یا یہ کہ نہایت بخشنے والا ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba main Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas baitha hua tha, maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko so martaba Astaghfar karte huye suna, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Allahummaghfirli warhamni watub 'alayya innaka antat tawwabur rahim aw innaka tawwabun gafur." "Aye Allah mujhe maaf farma, mujh par reham farma, mujh par tawajja farma, beshak tu nihayat tauba kabool karne wala nihayat meharban hai ya yah ki nihayat bakhshne wala hai."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ اسْتَغْفَرَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ:" اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ"، أَوْ" إِنَّكَ تَوَّابٌ غَفُورٌ".
