Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5449
Abdullah bin Abi Malikah said that once, Sayyiduna Ameer Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Makkah Mukarramah and went inside the Kaaba. He sent a message to Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), asking, "In which part of the Kaaba did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pray?" He replied, "Between the two pillars directly in front of the door of the Kaaba." Meanwhile, Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) came and knocked hard on the door. When the door opened, he said to Sayyiduna Ameer Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), "You knew that I also know this, like Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). (Yet you asked him instead of me?) The truth is that you envy me."

عبداللہ بن ابی ملیکہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا امیر معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ ایک مرتبہ مکہ مکرمہ آئے تو بیت اللہ کے اندر تشریف لے گئے، اور سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس یہ پیغام بھیجا کہ نبی ﷺ نے بیت اللہ کے اندر کس حصے میں نماز پڑھی تھی؟ انہوں نے بتایا کہ باب کعبہ کے عین سامنے دو ستونوں کے درمیان، اتنی دیر میں سیدنا عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ آ گئے اور زور زور سے دروازہ بجایا دروازہ کھلا تو انہوں نے سیدنا امیر معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا کہ آپ کو معلوم تھا کہ یہ بات ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کی طرح مجھے بھی پتہ ہے (پھر بھی آپ نے یہ بات ان سے دریافت کروائی؟) اصل بات یہ ہے کہ آپ کو مجھ سے حسد ہے۔
Abdullah bin Abi Malika kehte hain ki Sayyiduna Ameer Muawiya (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ek martaba Makkah Mukarrama aaye to Baitullah ke andar tashreef le gaye, aur Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke paas yeh paigham bheja ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Baitullah ke andar kis hisse mein namaz parhi thi? Unhon ne bataya ki Bab e Kaaba ke ain samne do sutunon ke darmiyaan, itni der mein Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (رضي الله تعالى عنه) aa gaye aur zor zor se darwaza bajaya darwaza khula to unhon ne Sayyiduna Ameer Muawiya (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se kaha ki aap ko maloom tha ki yeh baat Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ki tarah mujhe bhi pata hai (phir bhi aap ne yeh baat un se daryaft karwai?) Asal baat yeh hai ki aap ko mujh se hasad hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ، فَدَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ، فَبَعَثَ إِلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ : أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَقَالَ:" صَلَّى بَيْنَ السَّارِيَتَيْنِ بِحِيَالِ الْبَابِ"، فَجَاءَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، فَرَجَّ الْبَابَ رَجًّا شَدِيدًا، فَفُتِحَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ لِمُعَاوِيَةَ: أَمَا إِنَّكَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنِّي كُنْتُ أَعْلَمُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي يَعْلَمُ، وَلَكِنَّكَ حَسَدْتَنِي!!.
