Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5547
Samak Hanafi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I once heard Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed inside the Kaaba. But soon you will go to a man and hear him denying it. He was referring to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who was sitting nearby.

سماک حنفی رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ نبی ﷺ نے بیت اللہ کے اندر نماز پڑھی ہے، لیکن ابھی تم ایک ایسے شخص کے پاس جاؤ گے اور ان کی باتیں سنو گے، جو اس کی نفی کر یں گے۔ مراد سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ تھے جو قریب ہی بیٹھے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" صَلَّى فِي الْبَيْتِ، وَسَيَأْتِي مَنْ يَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ، فَتَسْمَعُونَ مِنْهُ!!"، قَالَ: يَعْنِي: ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ جَالِسًا قَرِيبًا مِنْهُ.
