Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5587
Saeed bin Jubair said: Once I went out with Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, from his house. We passed by some young men of Quraysh who had tied a bird and were practicing their archery on it. They had said to the owner of the bird that any arrow that missed would be his. Upon this, Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, became angry and said, "Who is doing this?" At this, all the young men dispersed. Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who ties a living being and practices archery on it.

سعید بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ ان کے گھر سے نکلا، ہمارا گزر قریش کے کچھ نوجوانوں پر ہوا جنہوں نے ایک پرندہ کو باندھ رکھا تھا اور اس پر اپنا نشانہ درست کر رہے تھے اور پرندے کے مالک سے کہہ رکھا تھا کہ جو تیر چوک جائے وہ تمھارا ہوگا، اس پر سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما غصے میں آ گئے اور فرمانے لگے یہ کون کر رہا ہے؟ اسی وقت سارے نوجوان دائیں بائیں ہو گئے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اس شخص پر لعنت فرمائی ہے جو کسی جاندارچیز کو باندھ کر اس پر نشانہ درست کرے۔
Saeed bin Jubair kehte hain ke ek martaba main Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu anhuma ke saath un ke ghar se nikla, hamara guzar Quresh ke kuch naujawanon par hua jinhon ne ek parinda ko bandh rakha tha aur us par apna nishana durust kar rahe the aur parinde ke malik se keh rakha tha ke jo teer chook jaye wo tumhara hoga, is par Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu anhuma gusse mein aa gaye aur farmane lage ye kaun kar raha hai? Isi waqt sare naujawan dayen baayen ho gaye Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu anhuma ne farmaya ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is shakhs par laanat farmai hai jo kisi jandar cheez ko bandh kar us par nishana durust kare.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مِنْ مَنْزِلهِ، فَمَرَرْنَا بِفِتْيَانٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، نَصَبُوا طَيْرًا يَرْمُونَهُ، وَقَدْ جَعَلُوا لِصَاحِبِ الطَّيْرِ كُلَّ خَاطِئَةٍ مِنْ نَبْلِهِمْ، قَالَ: فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا ابْنَ عُمَرَ تَفَرَّقُوا، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا؟ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" لَعَنَ مَنْ اتَّخَذَ شَيْئًا فِيهِ الرُّوحُ غَرَضًا".
