Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5617
It is narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the last days of his life, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once led the Isha prayer. After finishing the prayer, he stood up and said, "Remember this night because after a hundred years from tonight, no one present on the face of the earth today will be alive." Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) states that many people misunderstood this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and started saying different things regarding the "hundred years." In reality, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) meant that the people who are present on the face of the earth today, this generation, will be finished. (It did not mean that the Day of Judgment would come after a hundred years from today).

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنی زندگی کے آخری ایام میں ایک مرتبہ عشاء کی نماز پڑھائی، جب سلام پھیر چکے تو کھڑے ہو گئے اور فرمایا کہ آج کی رات کو یاد رکھنا کیونکہ اس کے پورے سو سال بعد روئے زمین پر جو آج موجود ہیں ان میں سے کوئی بھی باقی نہ بچے گا، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ کی اس بات میں بہت سے لوگوں کو التباس ہو گیا ہے اور وہ ”سو سال“ سے متعلق مختلف قسم کی باتیں کرنے لگے ہیں، دراصل نبی ﷺ نے یہ فرمایا تھا کہ روئے زمین پر آج جو لوگ موجود ہیں، اور مراد یہ تھی کہ یہ نسل ختم ہو جائے گی (یہ مطلب نہیں تھا کہ آج سے سو سال بعد قیامت آ جائے گی)۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apni zindagi ke aakhri ayyam mein ek martaba Isha ki namaz parhayi, jab salam phir chuke to kharay ho gaye aur farmaya ki aaj ki raat ko yaad rakhna kyunki iske poore sau saal baad rue zameen par jo aaj maujood hain un mein se koi bhi baqi na bachega, Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a farmate hain ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki is baat mein bahut se logon ko iltibas ho gaya hai aur wo "sau saal" se mutalliq mukhtalif qisam ki baatein karne lage hain, darasal Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ye farmaya tha ki rue zameen par aaj jo log maujood hain, aur murad ye thi ki ye nasl khatam ho jayegi (ye matlab nahin tha ki aaj se sau saal baad qayamat aa jayegi).
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ فِي آخِرِ حَيَاتِهِ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَامَ، قَالَ:" أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَيْلَتَكُمْ هَذِهِ، فإِنَّ عَلَى رَأْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ مِنْهَا لَا يَبْقَى مِمَّنْ هُوَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ"، قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: فَوَهِلَ النَّاسُ فِي مَقَالَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِلْكَ، فِيمَا يَتَحَدَّثُونَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَحَادِيثِ عَنْ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ، وَإِنَّمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَا يَبْقَى الْيَوْمَ مِمَّنْ هُوَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ" يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَنْخَرِمَ ذَلِكَ الْقَرْنُ.
