Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5641
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Fire is an enemy, so beware of it." That is why Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to extinguish any fire burning in his house before going to sleep at night.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”آگ دشمن ہے اس لئے اس سے بچو، یہی وجہ ہے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما رات کو سونے سے پہلے اپنے گھر میں جہاں بھی آگ جل رہی ہوتی اسے بجھا کر سوتے تھے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Aag dushman hai is liye is se bacho, yahi wajah hai Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a raat ko sone se pehle apne ghar mein jahan bhi aag jal rahi hoti use bujha kar sote the."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" النَّارُ عَدُوٌّ، فَاحْذَرُوهَا"، قَالَ: فَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَتَتَبَّعُ نِيرَانَ أَهْلِهِ، فَيُطْفِئُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبِيتَ.
