Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5688
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to offer two rak'ahs at home after returning from the Friday prayer and he would say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to do the same.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما جب نماز جمعہ پڑھ کر گھر واپس آتے تو دو رکعتیں گھر میں پڑھتے تھے اور بتاتے تھے کہ نبی ﷺ بھی اسی طرح کیا کرتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيز يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ" إِذَا انْصَرَفَ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ، انْصَرَفَ إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ، فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ".
