Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5775
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Whoever keeps a dog that is neither a guard dog nor a hunting dog, his reward will be diminished by two Qirat every day." And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would order the killing of dogs.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا:”جو شخص ایسا کتا رکھے جو حفاظت کے لئے بھی نہ ہو اور نہ ہی شکاری کتا ہو تو اس کے ثواب میں روزانہ دو قیراط کمی ہوتی رہے گی۔“ اور نبی ﷺ کتوں کو مار دینے کا حکم دیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" مَنْ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا إِلَّا كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ، أَوْ كَلْبَ صَيْدٍ، نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ"، وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْكِلَابِ أَنْ تُقْتَلَ.
