Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5796
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) gave a horse to a man for riding in the path of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave that horse to another man. Then, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked: "Can I buy the horse that I had given for riding in the path of Allah?". The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be pleased with him) said: "Do not buy it and do not take back your charity."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فی سبیل اللہ کسی شخص کو سواری کے لئے گھوڑا دے دیا، نبی ﷺ نے وہ گھوڑا کسی آدمی کو دے دیا، پھر سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ بارگاہ رسالت میں حاضر ہوئے اور عرض کیا کہ جس گھوڑے کو میں نے سواری کے لئے دیا تھا کیا میں اسے خرید سکتا ہوں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ اسے مت خریدو اور اپنے صدقے سے رجوع مت کرو۔
Sayyida Ibn Umar RA se marvi hai keh aik martaba Sayyiduna Umar RA ne fi sabilillah kisi shakhs ko sawari ke liye ghora de diya, Nabi SAW ne woh ghora kisi aadmi ko de diya, phir Sayyiduna Umar RA bargah risalat mein hazir huye aur arz kiya keh jis ghore ko mein ne sawari ke liye diya tha kya mein use khareed sakta hun? Nabi SAW ne farmaya keh use mat khareedo aur apne sadqe se rujoo mat karo.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنَّ عُمَرَ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، فَأَعْطَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا، فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: أَبْتَاعُ الْفَرَسَ الَّذِي حَمَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ؟ فَقَالَ:" لَا تَبْتَعْهُ، وَلَا تَرْجِعْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ".
