Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5797
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with him) that once Sayyiduna Umar (Allah be pleased with him) saw a silken garment being sold near the door of the mosque, so he said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! If you were to buy this, you could wear it on Fridays or in front of delegations." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "This is worn by one who will have no share in the Hereafter." A few days later, some silken garments came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from somewhere, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave one of them to Sayyiduna Umar (Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Umar (Allah be pleased with him) said, "You yourself said about it what I had heard, and now you yourself have sent me this silken garment?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I have sent it to you so that you may sell it and use its price for yourself or give it to someone else to wear." So Sayyiduna Umar (Allah be pleased with him) gave that garment to his maternal brother "who was a polytheist and lived in Makkah."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے مسجد کے دروازے کے پاس ایک ریشمی جوڑا فروخت ہوتے ہوئے دیکھا تو نبی ﷺ سے کہنے لگے کہ یا رسول اللہ! اگر آپ اسے خرید لیتے تو جمعہ کے دن پہن لیا کرتے یا وفود کے سامنے پہن لیا کرتے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہ وہ شخص پہنتا ہے جس کا آخرت میں کوئی حصہ نہ ہو“، چند دن بعد نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں کہیں سے چند ریشمی حلے آئے، نبی ﷺ نے ان میں سے ایک جوڑا سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو بھی بھجوا دیا، سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کہنے لگے کہ آپ نے خود ہی تو اس کے متعلق وہ بات فرمائی تھی جو میں نے سنی تھی اور اب آپ ہی نے مجھے یہ ریشمی جوڑا بھیج دیا؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا:”میں نے تمہیں یہ اس لئے بھجوایا ہے کہ تم اسے فروخت کر کے اس کی قیمت اپنے استعمال میں لے آؤ یا کسی کو پہنا دو۔“ چنانچہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے وہ جوڑا اپنے ماں شریک بھائی کو ”جو مشرک تھا اور مکہ مکرمہ میں ہی رہتا تھا“ پہنا دیا۔
Sayyidaana Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba Sayyidaana Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne masjid ke darwaze ke paas ek reshmi joda farokht hote hue dekha to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se kehne lage ki ya Rasulullah! Agar aap ise kharid lete to jumma ke din pehen liya karte ya wufood ke samne pehen liya karte? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Yeh woh shaks pehenta hai jiska aakhirat mein koi hissa na ho", chand din baad Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein kahin se chand reshmi hale aaye, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne in mein se ek joda Sayyidaana Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko bhi bhej diya, Sayyidaana Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehne lage ki aap ne khud hi to iske mutalliq woh baat farmaayi thi jo maine suni thi aur ab aap hi ne mujhe yeh reshmi joda bhej diya? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya:"Maine tumhein yeh isliye bhejwwaya hai ki tum ise farokht kar ke iski qeemat apne istemal mein le aao ya kisi ko pehna do" Chunancha Sayyidaana Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne woh joda apne maan sharik bhai ko "jo mushrik tha aur Makkah Mukarramah mein hi rehta tha" pehna diya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنَّ عُمَرَ رَأَى حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ تُبَاعُ عِنْدَ بَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، لَوْ اشْتَرَيْتَهَا، فَلَبِسْتَهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَلِلْوُفُودِ إِذَا قَدِمُوا عَلَيْكَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ هَذِهِ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ"، ثُمَّ جَاءَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْهَا حُلَلٌ، فَأَعْطَى عُمَرَ مِنْهَا حُلَّةً، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، كَسَوْتَنِيهَا , وَقَدْ قُلْتَ فِيهَا مَا قُلْتَ! فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنِّي لَمْ أَكْسُكَهَا لَتَلْبَسَهَا، إِنَّمَا كَسَوْتُكَهَا لِتَبِيعَهَا أَوْ لِتَكْسُوَهَا"، قَالَ: فَكَسَاهَا عُمَرُ أَخًا لَهُ مُشْرِكًا، مِنْ أُمِّهِ، بِمَكَّةَ.
