Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5824
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "If a man says to his brother, 'You are a disbeliever,' then it will certainly apply to one of them, either the one who was called a disbeliever is as he was described, or it will come back to the one who said it."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”کوئی شخص جب اپنے بھائی کو اے کافر کہتا ہے تو دونوں میں سے کسی ایک پر تو یہ چیز لازم ہو ہی جاتی ہے، جسے کافر کہا گیا ہے یا تو وہ کافر ہوتا ہے ورنہ کہنے والے پر اس کی بات پلٹ جاتی ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Koi shakhs jab apne bhai ko aye kafir kehta hai to donon mein se kisi ek par to yeh cheez lazim ho hi jati hai, jise kafir kaha gaya hai ya to woh kafir hota hai warna kehne wale par uski baat palat jati hai.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جُوَيْرِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" إِذَا قَالَ الرَّجُلُ لِصَاحِبِهِ يَا كَافِرُ، فَإِنَّهَا تَجِبُ عَلَى أَحَدِهِمَا، فَإِنْ كَانَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُ كَافِرٌ، فَهُوَ كَافِرٌ، وَإِلَّا رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ مَا قَالَ".
