Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5869
Once, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a shepherd grazing his goats in a filthy place while a better place was available, and Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had also seen it, so he said: "O shepherd! Woe to you, take these goats somewhere else, I have heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that every shepherd will be questioned about his flock."

ایک مرتبہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے ایک چرواہے کو اپنی بکریاں کسی گندی جگہ پر چراتے ہوئے دیکھا جبکہ اس سے بہتر جگہ موجود تھی، اور سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بھی اسے دیکھا تھا اس لئے فرمانے لگے: اے چرواہے! تجھ پر افسوس ہے، ان بکریوں کو کہیں اور لے جاؤ، میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ ہر چرواہے سے اس کی رعیت کے بارے سوال ہو گا۔
Ek martaba syedna ibn umar razi Allah unhuma ne ek charwahe ko apni bakriyan kisi gandi jaga par charate huye dekha jabke us se behtar jaga mojood thi, aur syedna ibn umar razi Allah unhuma ne bhi use dekha tha is liye farmane lage: aye charwahe! tujh par afsos hai, in bakriyon ko kahin aur le jao, maine nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki har charwahe se us ki raiyat ke bare sawal ho ga.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، وَكَانَ وَهْبٌ أَدْرَكَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ , لَيْسَ فِي كِتَابِ ابْنِ مَالِكٍ , أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَأَى رَاعِيَ غَنَمٍ فِي مَكَانٍ قَبِيحٍ، وَقَدْ رَأَى ابْنُ عُمَرَ مَكَانًا أَمْثَلَ مِنْهُ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : وَيْحَكَ يَا راعي , حَوِّلْها , فَإِنِّي، سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ:" كُلُّ رَاعٍ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ".
