Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5911
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The difference between you and the nations before you is like the time between the afternoon prayer and sunset.”
Grade: Sahih
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”پہلی امتوں کے مقابلے میں تمہاری مدت اتنی ہی ہے جتنی عصر کی نماز سے لے کر غروب آفتاب تک ہوتی ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Pehli ummaton ke muqabale mein tumhari muddat utni hi hai jitni Asr ki namaz se le kar ghuroob aftab tak hoti hai.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ , يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَجَلُكُمْ فِي أَجَلِ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ كَمَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ".
