Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5928
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), all the people used to perform ablution from the same utensil. I asked Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him), "Both men and women?" He said, "Yes." I said, "During the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" He said, "Yes."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے دور باسعادت میں سب لوگ اکٹھے ایک ہی برتن سے وضو کر لیتے تھے، میں نے امام مالک رحمہ اللہ سے پوچھا کہ مرد و عورت سب؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: ہاں! میں نے عرض کیا کہ نبی ﷺ کے زمانے میں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: ہاں۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke daur ba saadat mein sab log ikatthey ek hi bartan se wazu kar lete thay, maine Imam Malik Rahmatullahi Alaih se poocha ke mard o aurat sab? Unhon ne farmaya: Haan! Maine arz kiya ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke zamane mein? Unhon ne farmaya: Haan.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ:" كَانُوا يَتَوَضَّئونَ جَمِيعًا"، قُلْتُ لِمَالِكٍ: الرِّجَالُ وَالنِّسَاءُ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قُلْتُ: زَمَنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ.
