Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5929
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that Aisha Siddiqa wanted to purchase Barirah. She went to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When she returned, she said that they refused to sell her, saying that if we were to receive her Wala' (allegiance), we would have sold her. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The Wala' belongs to the one who sets free."

حضرت ابن عمر ؓ سے مروی ہے کہ حضرت عائشہ صدیقہ ؓ نے بریرہ ؓ کو خریدنا چاہا نبی کریم ﷺ کے لئے تشریف لے گئے جب واپس آئے تو حضرت عائشہ ؓ نے عرض کیا کہ ان لوگوں نے انہیں بیچنے سے انکار کردیا اور کہا کہ اگر ولاء ہمیں ملے تو ہم بیچ دیں گے، نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ولاء اسی کا حق ہے جو آزاد کرتا ہے۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar RA se marvi hai ke Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa RA ne bureira RA ko khareedna chaha Nabi Kareem SAW ke liye tashreef le gaye jab vapas aaye to Hazrat Ayesha RA ne arz kiya ke in logon ne inhen bechne se inkar kar diya aur kaha ke agar wala humein mile to hum bech denge, Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya wala usi ka haq hai jo azad karta hai.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَشْتَرِيَ جَارِيَةً تُعْتِقُهَا، قَالَ: أَهْلُهَا نَبِيعُكِ عَلَى أَنَّ وَلَاءَهَا لَنَا، فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ:" لَا يَمْنَعْكِ ذَلِكَ، فَإِنَّ الْوَلَاءَ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ".
