Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5984
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that in the year of the Battle of Tabuk, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, camped with the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, at a place near the destroyed ruins and houses of the people of Thamud. The people drank water from the wells from which the people of Thamud used to drink, and they also kneaded dough with it and put meat in it and put the pots on the fire. When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came to know about it, he, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered the people to turn over the pots and feed the kneaded dough to the camels. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, moved from there and camped at the well from which the she-camel of Salih, peace be upon him, used to drink. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade [the people] from going into the ruins of the punished nation and said: "I fear that the same punishment that befell them might befall you, therefore do not go there."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے غزوہ تبوک کے سال قوم ثمود کے تباہ شدہ کھنڈرات اور گھروں کے قریب کسی جگہ پر صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم کے ساتھ پڑاؤ ڈالا، لوگوں نے ان کنوؤں سے پانی پیا جس سے قوم ثمود پانی پیتی تھی اور اس سے آٹا بھی گوندھا اور گوشت ڈال کر ہنڈیا بھی چڑھا دیں، نبی ﷺ کو معلوم ہوا تو آپ ﷺ کے حکم پر لوگوں نے ہنڈیاں الٹا دیں اور گندھا ہوا آٹا اونٹوں کو کھلا دیا اور نبی ﷺ وہاں سے کوچ کر گئے اور اس کنوئیں پر جا کر پڑاؤ کیا جہاں سے صالح علیہ السلام کی اونٹنی پانی پیتی تھی اور نبی ﷺ نے عذاب یافتہ قوم کے کھنڈرات میں جانے سے منع کر دیا اور فرمایا کہ مجھے اندیشہ ہے کہیں تم پر بھی وہی عذاب نہ آ جائے جو ان پر آیا تھا، اس لئے تم وہاں نہ جاؤ۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Ghazwa Tabuk ke saal qaum Samood ke tabah shuda khandraat aur gharon ke qareeb kisi jagah per Sahaba (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke sath paradao daala, logon ne un kuon se pani piya jis se qaum Samood pani piti thi aur is se aata bhi gundha aur gosht daal kar handi bhi charha din, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko maloom hua to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hukum per logon ne handiyan ulta din aur gundha hua aata oonton ko khila diya aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) wahan se کوچ kar gaye aur is kuen per ja kar paradao kiya jahan se Salih Alaihissalam ki oontni pani piti thi aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne azab yaafta qaum ke khandrat mein jaane se mana kar diya aur farmaya ki mujhe andesha hai kahin tum per bhi wohi azab na aa jaye jo un per aaya tha, is liye tum wahan na jao.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جُوَيْرِيَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالنَّاسِ عَامَ تَبُوكَ، نَزَلَ بِهِمْ الْحِجْرَ، عِنْدَ بُيُوتِ ثَمُودَ، فَاسْتَسْقَى النَّاسُ مِنَ الْآبَارِ الَّتِي كَانَ يَشْرَبُ مِنْهَا ثَمُودُ، فَعَجَنُوا مِنْهَا، وَنَصَبُوا الْقُدُورَ بِاللَّحْمِ، فَأَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَهَرَاقُوا الْقُدُورَ، وَعَلَفُوا الْعَجِينَ الْإِبِلَ، ثُمَّ ارْتَحَلَ بِهِمْ، حَتَّى نَزَلَ بِهِمْ عَلَى الْبِئْرِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ تَشْرَبُ مِنْهَا النَّاقَةُ، وَنَهَاهُمْ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ عُذِّبُوا، قَالَ:" إِنِّي أَخْشَى أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ، فَلَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ".
