Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5991
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (R.A.) that he disliked the marking of the face and he used to say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade striking the face.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ وہ چہرے پر نشان پڑنے کو ناپسند کرتے تھے اور فرماتے تھے کہ نبی ﷺ نے چہرے پر مارنے سے منع فرمایا: ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki woh chehre par nishan padne ko napasand karte the aur farmate the ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne chehre par marne se mana farmaya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنِي حَنْظَلَةُ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ الْعَلَمَ فِي الصُّورَةِ، وَقَالَ:" نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ضَرْبِ الْوَجْهِ".
