Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6028
It has been narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that in the last days of his life, the Prophet (PBUH) once led the Isha prayer. When he finished the prayer, he stood up and said, "Remember this night because after a hundred years from tonight, none of those present on the face of the earth will remain.” Sayyidina Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said that many people were confused about this statement of the Prophet (PBUH) and they started saying different things regarding "hundred years". In fact, what the Prophet (PBUH) meant was that the people present on the face of the earth today will be gone, meaning that this generation will pass away. (He did not mean that the Day of Judgment will come after a hundred years from today).

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنی زندگی کے آخری ایام میں ایک مرتبہ عشاء کی نماز پڑھائی جب سلام پھیر چکے تو کھڑے ہو گئے اور فرمایا: کہ آج کی رات کو یاد رکھنا کیونکہ اس کے پورے سو سال بعد روئے زمین پر جو آج موجود ہیں ان میں سے کوئی بھی باقی نہ بچے گا سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ کی اس بات میں بہت سے لوگوں کو التباس ہو گیا ہے اور وہ " سو سال " سے متعلق مختلف قسم کی باتیں کرنے لگے ہیں دراصل نبی ﷺ نے یہ فرمایا: تھا کہ روئے زمین پر آج جو لوگ موجود ہیں اور مراد یہ تھی کہ یہ نسل ختم ہو جائے گی (یہ مطلب نہیں تھا کہ آج سے سو سال بعد قیامت آ جائے گی)
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apni zindagi ke aakhri ayyam mein ek martaba Isha ki namaz parhai jab salam pher chuke to kharay ho gaye aur farmaya: ki aaj ki raat ko yaad rakhna kyunki iske poore sou saal baad ruye zameen par jo aaj maujood hain un mein se koi bhi baqi na bachega Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a farmate hain ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki is baat mein bahut se logon ko iltibas ho gaya hai aur wo "sou saal" se mutalliq mukhtalif qisam ki baaten karne lage hain darasal Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ye farmaya: tha ki ruye zameen par aaj jo log maujood hain aur murad ye thi ki ye nasal khatam ho jayegi (ye matlab nahin tha ki aaj se sou saal baad qayamat aa jayegi).
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ فِي آخِرِ حَيَاتِهِ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ، قَامَ، فَقَالَ:" أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ لَيْلَتَكُمْ هَذِهِ؟ فَإِنَّ رَأْسَ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ مِنْهَا لَا يَبْقَى مِمَّنْ هُوَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ"، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: فَوَهَلَ النَّاسُ فِي مَقَالَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِلْكَ، إِلَى مَا يُحَدِّثُونَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَحَادِيثِ عَنْ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ، فَإِنَّمَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَا يَبْقَى مِمَّنْ هُوَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ" يُرِيدُ بِذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ يَنْخَرِمُ ذَلِكَ الْقَرْنُ.
