Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6037
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw a slain woman in a certain battle, he condemned it and forbade the killing of women and children.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے کسی غزوہ میں ایک مقتول عورت کو دیکھا تو اس پر نکیر کرتے ہوئے عورتوں اور بچوں کو قتل کرنے سے روک دیا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kisi ghazwa mein ek maqtool aurat ko dekha to us par nakir karte hue auraton aur bachchon ko qatal karne se rok diya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ: أَنَّ امْرَأَةً وُجِدَتْ فِي بَعْضِ مَغَازِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَقْتُولَةً،" فَأَنْكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَتْلَ النِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ".
