Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6038
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If a slave is jointly owned by two persons, and one of them sets free his share of the slave, then the price of the slave should be estimated. If the one who set his share free has enough wealth to cover the price, then the slave should be set free."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: جو غلام دو آدمیوں کے درمیان مشترک ہو اور ان سب سے ایک اس غلام کو اپنے حصے کے بقدر آزاد کر دیتا ہے تو اس غلام کی قیمت لگائی جائے گی اور اپناحصہ آزاد کرنے والے کے پاس اگر اتنا مال ہو جو اس کی قیمت کو پہنچتا ہو تو وہ غلام آزاد ہو جائے گا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: Jo ghulam do aadmiyon ke darmiyan mushtaq ho aur un sab se ek us ghulam ko apne hisse ke baqadr azad kar deta hai to us ghulam ki qeemat lagayi jayegi aur apna hissa azad karne wale ke paas agar itna maal ho jo us ki qeemat ko pahunchta ho to woh ghulam azad ho jayega.
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ:" أَيُّمَا مَمْلُوكٍ كَانَ بَيْنَ شَرِيكَيْنِ فَأَعْتَقَ أَحَدُهُمَا نَصِيبَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ يُقَامُ فِي مَالِ الَّذِي أَعْتَقَ قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ، فَيُعْتِقُ إِنْ بَلَغَ ذَلِكَ مَالَهُ".
