Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6066

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The lifespan of your Ummah (nation) compared to the lifespan of the previous nations is like the time between Asr (afternoon prayer) and Maghrib (sunset prayer)."


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: گزشتہ امتوں کی عمروں کے مقابلے میں تمہاری عمریں ایسی ہیں جیسے عصر اور مغرب کا درمیانی وقت ہوتا ہے۔

Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai keh Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: Guzishta ummaton ki umron ke muqabile mein tumhari umrein aisi hain jaise asr aur maghrib ka darmiyani waqt hota hai.

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَلَا إِنَّ مَثَلَ آجَالِكُمْ فِي آجَالِ الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمْ كَمَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى مُغَيْرِبَانِ الشَّمْسِ".
