Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6090
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would offer the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr when the sound of the Adhan reached his ears.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ فجر کی سنتیں اس وقت پڑھتے جب اذان کی آواز کانوں میں آرہی ہوتی تھی۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Fajar ki sunnatain us waqt parhte jab azan ki awaz kaano mein aa rahi hoti thi.
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" كَانَ يُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ كَأَنَّ الْأَذَانَ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ".
