Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6249
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up to deliver a sermon. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pointed towards the East with his hand and said: "Trials and tribulations will emerge from here, from where the horn of Satan emerges."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ خطبہ دینے کے لئے کھڑے ہوئے آپ ﷺ نے اپنے ہاتھ سے مشرق کی طرف اشارہ کیا اور فرمایا: ”فتنہ یہاں سے ہو گا جہاں سے شیطان کا سینگ نکلتا ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki aik martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khutba dene ke liye khade huye aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne hath se mashriq ki taraf ishara kya aur farmaya: "Fitna yahan se hoga jahan se shaitan ka sing nikalta hai."
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاج ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ يَخْطُبُ، فَقَالَ:" أَلَا وَإِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ هَاهُنَا، مِنْ حَيْثُ يَطْلُعُ قَرْنُ الشَّيْطَانِ"، يَعْنِي: الْمَشْرِقَ.
