Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6250
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) whenever he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would send out a detachment from the army, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would specifically grant them (the detachment) rewards that were not for the rest of the army, except that one-fifth of the spoils of war would be taken out for Allah.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ جن دستوں کو لشکر سے الگ کر کے کہیں بھیجتے تھے تو خصوصیت کے ساتھ انہیں انعام بھی عطاء فرماتے تھے جو باقی لشکر کے لئے نہیں ہوتا تھا البتہ اس میں مال غنیمت کا پانچواں حصہ اللہ کے لئے نکال لیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ:" يُنَفِّلُ بَعْضَ مَنْ يَبْعَثُ مِنَ السَّرَايَا لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ خَاصَّةً، سِوَى قَسْمِ عَامَّةِ الْجَيْشِ، وَالْخُمُسُ فِي ذَلِكَ وَاجِبٌ لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى".
