Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6252
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that he heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that when women ask your permission to go to the mosque, do not stop them. Upon this, Bilal bin Abdullah said, "By Allah, we will definitely stop them." Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) turned to him and rebuked him sternly.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ جب عورتیں تم سے مسجد جانے کی اجازت مانگیں تو انہیں مت روکا کرو اس پر بلال بن عبداللہ نے کہا کہ بخدا ہم تو انہیں روکیں گے تو سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے اس کی طرف متوجہ ہو کر اسے سخت سست کہا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki jab aurten tum se masjid jane ki ijazat mangen to unhen mat roka karo is par Bilal bin Abdullah ne kaha ki bukhuda hum to unhen rokenge to Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne is ki taraf mutawajjah ho kar ise sakht sust kaha.
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ:" لَا تَمْنَعُوا، يَعْنِي: نِسَاءَكُمْ، الْمَسَاجِدَ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْهَا"، قَالَ بِلَالُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: وَاللَّهِ لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ , فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حِينَ قَالَ ذَلِكَ , فَسَبَّهُ.
