Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6263
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once I was in the blessed gathering of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and my lower garment was hanging low. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, “Who is this?”. I submitted, “Abdullah bin Umar”. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “If you are Abdullah, then keep your lower garment above your ankles.” So, I pulled it up to mid-calf. The narrator says that it remained his practice until his death.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں بارگاہ رسالت میں حاضر ہوا اس وقت میری تہبند نیچے لٹک رہی تھی نبی کریم ﷺ نے پوچھا یہ کون ہے؟ میں نے عرض کیا عبداللہ بن عمر ہوں نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اگر تم عبداللہ ہو تو اپنی تہبند اونچی کرو چنانچہ میں نے اسے نصف پنڈلی تک چڑھا لیاراوی کہتے ہیں کہ وفات تک پھر ان کا یہی معمول رہا۔
Saina Ibne Umar Raziallahu Anhuma farmate hain ki aik martaba mein bargahe risalat mein hazir hua us waqt meri tehband neeche latak rahi thi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne poocha ye kaun hai? Maine arz kia Abdullah bin Umar hun Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Agar tum Abdullah ho to apni tehband oonchi karo chunancha maine use nisf pindli tak chadha liya rawi kahte hain ki wafat tak phir unka yahi mamul raha.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيَّ إِزَارٌ يَتَقَعْقَعُ، فَقَالَ:" مَنْ هَذَا؟" قُلْتُ: عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ , قَالَ:" إِنْ كُنْتَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ فَارْفَعْ إِزَارَكَ" , فَرَفَعْتُ إِزَارِي إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقَيْنِ، فَلَمْ تَزَلْ إِزْرَتَهُ حَتَّى مَاتَ.
