Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6294
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade Qaza'. (The meaning of Qaza' is to shave some of the child's hair and leave some of it, as is the fashion nowadays).

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے قزع سے منع فرمایا: ”ہے (قزع کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ بچے کے بال کٹواتے وقت کچھ بال کٹوا لئے جائیں اور کچھ چھوڑ دیئے جائیں جیسا کہ آج کل فیشن ہے)
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne qaza se mana farmaya: “ye (qaza ka matlab ye hai ki bache ke baal katwate waqt kuch baal katwa liye jayen aur kuch chhor diye jayen jaisa ki aaj kal fashion hai).
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" نَهَى عَنِ الْقَزَعِ".
