Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6388
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Eid al-Fitr, the spear of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would be brought out and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would offer the Eid prayer using the spear as a sutrah (screen).

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ عیدالفطر کے دن نبی کریم ﷺ کا نیزہ نکالا جاتا تھا اور نبی کریم ﷺ سترہ کے طور پر نیزہ گاڑ کر نماز پڑھ لیا کرتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ , عَنِ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ:" كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُخْرَجُ مَعَهُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ بِعَنَزَةٍ، فَيَرْكُزُهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَيُصَلِّي إِلَيْهَا".
